Drawing on influences as diverse as The Ramones and Jimi Hendrix, lyrically ambitious as Frank Zappa or Ween. Compositionally they can be as challenging as Brahms and Led Zeppelin, or as simple as Motley Crue or Beck. Shave acheives a blend of music that is at once familiar yet uniquely their own. Never derivative of popular music or the "genre of the month", Shave consistently makes music that sounds only like Shave. Dave Shea, Billy Blaze, Dave Cornblum, Rebecca Lynn Thanks to everyone who came out to the Queen's Wharf Restaurant last Saturday to see the Shave, Pat Gallagher, and Chris Mulkey Show! It was a great vibe there and everyone had such a good time that we're going to set it up to do it all over again sometime soon! Guest Reviews: A night on the Harbor with Shave's acoustic set ended up being a great time. Queen's Wharf looks like a throwback to another time. Overlooking the deep-end of Long Beach Harbor, you could picture it full of long-shoremen and shipbuilders back in the day. On this night, it was quiet, except for the bar. Actor/Singer Chris Mulkey opened nair hair remover the show...(we arrived late), followed by Pat Gallagher, who played a nicely crafted set. Shave's version of an acoustic show included drums and electric guitar on this night, and they rocked. The small intimate crowd was about half locals, and a colorful bunch they were....they really seemed to enjoy it, as did the die-hard Shave regulars that came down. Good times for all. by Biker Man "Probably one of the best Shave sets I've seen. My favorite part was watching Chris Mulkey sing along to Barely Legal." by Vanessa Last Shave show's highlights!
